Jeanne-Marie Williams has been practicing law in New York for over 25 years. The head of the firm’s supervised housing group, Ms. Williams has a thorough understanding of New York housing  laws and the various federal, state and local regulations governing affordable and supportive housing, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program.

Ms. Williams  litigates landlord-tenant issues before administrative agencies, trial courts, and appellate courts. She is fully versed in the Mitchell-Lama regulations promulgated by local and state agencies as well as federal occupancy regulations for Subsidized Multifamily Housing projects as promulgated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition to her litigation expertise, Ms. Williams consults clients on housing operation matters, including audits by regulatory agencies, and has presented to peers on the topic of supportive low-income housing, including to Housing Court judges and court attorneys in a 2024 CLE course on the topic of Supportive and Subsidized Housing in NYC.  While her practice focuses on landlord-tenant matters, Ms. Williams also has considerable experience representing individuals, corporations, and residential cooperatives in general litigation.
