Biography
Born and raised in Brazil, Merielen earned a Juris Doctorate from Mackenzie Presbyterian University School of Law, a Graduate Course degree in Civil Procedure Law from the Brazilian Institute of Procedure Law (IBDP), and an M.B.A. from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (Ibmec) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In New York, she earned an LL.M. degree in Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law. Merielen has over 12 years of practice in complex litigation matters, transnational insolvency, distressed debt situations, asset recovery, and fraud investigations. She is licensed to practice in both New York and Brazil. Merielen assists in the firm's international litigation matters.
